James 5:5-7

⁵ You have ^[a](A)lived for pleasure on the earth and lived luxuriously; you have ^[b]fattened your hearts in ^(B)a day of slaughter. ⁶ You have condemned and ^[c](C)put to death ^(D)the righteous person; he offers you no resistance.

Exhortation

⁷ Therefore be patient, ^(E)brothers and sisters, ^(F)until the coming of the Lord. ^(G)The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until ^[d]it gets ^(H)the early and late rains.
